1. Who this covers
This policy applies to the Sum Sprout iPhone and iPad app from Ylemos Inc. Sum Sprout is designed for children practicing early addition and subtraction with a parent or guardian. It does not require a child or grown-up to create an account.
Our general privacy policy covers other Ylemos apps, our website, and support communications. Sum Sprout does not use the cloud features described there for other products.
2. Information kept on your device
To choose questions and show progress to a grown-up, Sum Sprout saves the math facts practiced, first-attempt results and accuracy, retries, recent practice dates, streaks, and the number of bridges completed. It also saves whether the welcome screen has been seen and the sound and tap feedback preference.
These records stay in the app's local storage. Sum Sprout does not send them to Ylemos, does not ask for a child's name, email address, location, photos, or free-form text, and does not use a developer-operated account or server. Device backup may include local app data depending on your Apple settings.
3. Optional purchase
After two free bridges, a grown-up may choose a one-time in-app purchase to unlock continued play. Apple StoreKit displays the price for your App Store region, processes the payment, and provides the app with a verified purchase entitlement. The app checks that entitlement on the device and provides a Restore Purchase option.
Ylemos does not receive your payment-card details or a copy of your child's practice records through this purchase. Apple may provide Ylemos with App Store sales, diagnostics, and aggregated analytics according to Apple's services and your settings. You can manage purchase history and refund requests through Apple.
5. Your choices and deletion
A grown-up can open Grown-ups in the app and choose “Erase all practice data” to clear locally stored practice records and bridge totals. Removing the app removes its local container. Apple device backups and App Store purchase records may remain under your Apple settings and Apple's policies; an App Store purchase can be restored through Apple.
6. Questions and support
If a grown-up chooses to email us, we receive the contact details and message they provide and use them to answer the request. Please do not include a child's name, school, photos, or other personal details. Support communications are handled as described in our general privacy policy.
