Mahj Coach · American Mah Jongg
Learn the game at the table, one move at a time.
Mahj Coach teaches American Mah Jongg — the Charleston, Jokers, exposures, and calling Mah Jongg — through short lessons and a practice table against three computer players. After every game, a coach walks back through your moves and shows what to try instead.
The rules that make it American
Eight lessons cover what Chinese mahjong guides leave out: the Charleston with its optional second round, blind passes, and courtesy pass; Jokers that only fill groups of three or more; exposing a Pung, Kong, or Quint; and redeeming an exposed Joker with the matching tile. The first four lessons are free.
At the practice table you play East against three computer players who call your discards and claim Mah Jongg by the same rules. Nothing is declared for you — when your hand is complete, you call it.
A coach review after every game
The review replays the moments that mattered: a tile passed that your target hand needed, a missed call, a Mah Jongg left on the table. Each note names the step it came from and suggests what to try instead, judged against the hand you were building at that moment.
Your first three reviews are free. Full Access is a single $4.99 purchase that unlocks lessons five through eight and unlimited reviews. There is no subscription and no account.
